The Golden Treasure Chest

Imagine a golden treasure chest opens before you. Gather the day’s triggers in your mind, and blow them into the treasure chest. Revisit the treasure chest later, opening it you reveal a rainbow of solutions coming out.

 

Daily Brain Dump and Gratitude Practice

With so many thoughts filling our minds at all times, our minds often become full rather than mindful. This practice will help you release excess thoughts.

Open a journal and write for 15 minutes. It doesn’t matter what you write, if it’s readable, or if it makes sense. Write without censorship. If you don’t know what to write you can write, “I don’t know what to write,” repeatedly, the entire time.

Close the journal, or move to a new page if you wish to write your gratitude list.

​

Think of three things you are grateful for every day (people, pets, situations, your home, etc) and how happy and grateful you are for them. Let this gratitude wash over you. Now think of three things that happened recently that you’re grateful for (these don’t have to be big, even things as simple as getting home safe, eating good food, seeing a rainbow). Let the gratitude for these things fill your body with positive, loving energy.

 

Energy Activation

Stand or sit with your feet firmly planted on the ground. Drop your shoulders, straighten your neck, and lift your head high. Breathe into your navel, and as you exhale, visualize your breath as a bright yellow light entering your belly and permeating your entire body. This yellow light is powerful life force energy stimulating every cell, bone, muscle, and tissue in your body. Visualize it coursing through you, energizing you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Cocoon of Relaxation

Lay down. Visualize a mint green orb before you. The orb flows over you, toes to shoulders, down each arm, and up through your neck and head. Relax in its minty heat. Circle it around any tense spots. Then visualize the orb back at your feet, turning into a blanket of energy. Pull this blanket up over your body and soak in it.

Elemental Square Breathing for Relaxation

Breathe in to the count of four. Hold for the count of four. Exhale for the count of four. Repeat 4 times, reciting in your head, “earth, air, water, fire” as you do so.

​

 

Solar Breathing to Increase Energy

Quickly breathe once through nose, and then out through the mouth. Visualize a fast sun up and sun down as you do so. Do this breath 10 times, followed by thirty seconds of rest. Repeat 3 times.

​

 

Lunar Breathing to Decrease Energy

Breath in to the count of six. Hold for the count of six. Exhale for the count of six. Visualize a full moon turning dark as you do so. Repeat 6 times.
